We're just about 1 day into "ICE STORM 2007" as the local newscasters are calling all this. PRAISE THE LORD, we haven't lost power. I think that there's about 500,000 without power right now and they're predicting 10 days or more to get it all back up and running. Say a little prayer that we don't loose ours at all! We have no backup plan should the lights go out! We did have to get out in all this today. I had an OB post delivery appointment today. My doc called to cancel me but I told her that I really wanted to come in because I thought my incision was getting infected. Turns out everything is okay but my body is rejecting the stitches and that's why everything hurt so bad. They're the dissolveable kind but the knots on both ends are what's being rejected. She clipped one off this afternoon and sent us on our way. The clinic had cancelled everyone else so they were just waiting for me to get there and be seen. We walked out with all the staff once I was done.
But while it's cold outside, we're having fun playing with Russ inside. Here's a few new pictures.
Napping with Daddy. Russ is such a cuddler!
Not real interested in the bouncy seat yet but at least mommy can take a shower.
Not that camera again!

aww...what a sweetie!!
i've been meaning to email you and see how you are doing. did you switch to formula or nursing?
well, i'm still hanging on to the hope that i'll start producing milk but still nothing! i'm pumping about 2-3 ounces every 3 hours and giving him that and then formula if he's still hungry. and he's always still hungry. i think i'm going to start adding rice cereal to his formula and just give up all together on the breastmilk.
yeah, pumping is a lot of work. 2-3 oz is good tho! your still in the beginning and if you keep w/ it you'll get there. i remember when blake was drinking 21 i was pumping 28-32. the pain was pumping at night when blake was sleeping through it. i've got 2 big bags left w/ 9 individual bags in them and then we are on to formual. do what works best for you girl. if you get stressed from it it's not worth it. sign up online at enfamil or somewhere and they will send you coupons. i have some enfamil if you want them..let me know. i've offered them to other people but no one has taken them yet.
we've decided to completely go to formula. i have all but stopped producing any milk at all. i'm down to less than 1 ounce with still pumping every 2-3 hours. i don't know what happened but as of today, i've stopped pumping. i'd LOVE those coupons!! we have him on similac right now but the pediatrician told me that similac and enfamil are the same thing. you're just paying for the name.
my dr said they are ALL the same. but make sure it has dha and ara in it. one he hits 6 months go generic!! it's way cheaper. i've gotta get some stamps and i'll get them out to you. i have 2 coupons that are for $4 each.
